Architecture - from the very first
shelters of branches to mud houses to rock structures to engineering marvels
of the past and the present, stand as representatives of man's resilience
through change, his growth- his downfall, his victories and his life.
Architecture encompasses and reflects the people and the culture around it.
What began as a way to satisfy man's one of the basic needs of "Food,
Clothing & Shelter” became a way of expression for some and a way of life
for some. As cultures grew and became more unique, so did their structures. As the
world began to shrink under the weight of trade and travel, inspirations,
portraits and sometimes entire buildings crossed oceans and continents bringing
with them new facets.
As a part of an I.S.A
Project 2015 - 16, Students of Grade VI & VII have been researching about
architecture of various countries around the world and its journey through
time. The students have also been researching about Green Buildings and plan an
awareness drive on the same by meeting the local builders.
